Welcome to Patch 7.2c! We’re reining in a few champions that have been running the show, giving some love to those who could use a boost, and making adjustments to items across the board. Elemental Dragons and Dragon Soul are also getting some extra firepower to make objectives worth fighting for, while we thaw out some frustrating Baron Lane freezes.
Reminder: content will be released throughout the patch.
Cho’Gath has been underperforming since his release, with his damage falling short of expectations. We’re boosting his damage and Feast scaling while making his ultimate available more often, helping each stack feel more impactful and strengthening his scaling and teamfight threat.
Vorpal Spikes
Feast
Jinx is still struggling despite the crit item buffs, so we’re improving her laning and teamfight reset potential.
Get Excited!
Nilah has been dominating high-skill play, so we’re reducing her crit scaling and sustained ultimate damage to curb her late-game power.
Formless Blade
Apotheosis
Leona has been a bit too durable during the laning phase, allowing her to shrug off poke without much consequence. We’re shifting some of that early-game durability into the late game, making her fairer to lane against while keeping her late-game performance intact.
Eclipse
Rumble has been dealing too much damage without needing to invest in Ability Power. We’re shifting his damage profile to reward AP-heavy builds, particularly when burning through high-Health targets in the Danger Zone.
Flamespitter
Scrap Shield
Electro Harpoon
Like other scaling champions, Nasus has become too difficult to keep in check. We’re reducing his early-game durability and increasing his ultimate cooldown, giving opponents more opportunities to punish him and making Nasus more deliberate about when he commits to a fight.
Fury of the Sands
Ryze has been thriving since the updates to Archangel’s Staff and other mage items. We’re toning down his early-game combat power, giving opponents more opportunities to punish him and slow down his scaling.
Rune Prison
Since the changes to his ultimate, Warwick has become too effective at picking off priority targets and taking control of the early and mid game. We’re dialing back his pick potential to give his prey a bit more room to fight back.
Infinite Duress
The mage item overhaul has given AP Kog’Maw plenty of Ability Power and Mana to rain down damage from a safe distance. We’re adding some constraints to give opponents more opportunities to fight back while preserving the core artillery playstyle.
Living Artillery
We’re happy with the boots system overall, but the power gap between some Tier 2 and Tier 3 options has grown too large. We’re buffing select Tier 2 boots and trimming power from Tier 3 upgrades to give each one a clearer, more focused strength.

Sunfire Aegis has been falling behind as a first-item option, particularly against physical damage. We’re increasing its Armor to reinforce its identity as a high-Armor waveclear item and make it a more competitive early purchase.
Base Stats
Stridebreaker hasn’t been delivering enough power for its intended users, particularly champions who rely on higher Attack Speed. We’re giving it a boost to better support those champions and help the item reach its full potential.

Mikael’s Blessing hasn’t quite lived up to its role as a powerful protective option. We’re giving it a straightforward buff to help it better compete with other support items.

Purify
Kaenic Rookern has fallen behind following the mage item overhaul. We’re giving it a boost to bring it back as a competitive Magic Resist option, particularly for champions stacking large amounts of Health.

Infernal Dragon
Elemental Dragons and Dragon Soul have lost some of their importance over time. We’re increasing their impact to make Dragons more meaningful strategic objectives and give teams more reason to fight for control over them.

Baron Lane Minions
Baron Lane minion damage reduction has created more frustrating lane states than intended, particularly through extended wave freezes. With Baron Laners gaining more ways to impact the map this patch, we’re reverting this mechanic to keep laning interactions healthier.
This update, we’re giving some love to lower pick-rate champions. These buffs should open up more compelling options, give more champions a chance to shine, and bring greater diversity to the roster.
