How to play Pantheon

Pantheon is a fighter. He is very strong in the early game being able to trade and fight vs most junglers. As you get into the late game, Pantheon falls off in terms of damage and becomes more of a crowd control champion that helps the team survive. One thing to note is to always keep an eye on your Mortal Will to see how many stacks you have. After 5 stacks, your next basic ability will be enhanced which means they get bonuses.

Pantheon uses a mixture of both damage and tank items that work well with his kit. Serpent's Fang gives a lot of attack damage and armor penetration in the early game so you can look for early skirmishes to snowball.

For runes, we have the following:

First Strike

Pantheon has many ways to surprise enemies, jumping from out of bushes and using Grand Skyfall in teamfights. This gives you easy ways to proc First Strike to deal true damage.

Sudden Impact

Pantheon always starts his engagement with Shield Vault to stun an enemy champion. With Sudden Impact this will allow Pantheon to deal true damage with his other abilities and auto attacks.

Chain Assault

Chain Assault works well with Pantheon's combo when he jumps in with Shield Vault

Eyeball Collector

Eyeball Collector is great with Pantheon since it gives him more Attack Damage every time he gets a takedown.

Absolute Focus

Absolute Focus gives Pantheon a lot of Attack Damage while he's near to full health, increasing his combo damage when he jumps in

Flash

Smite

For summoner spells, Flash is a must on most champions. It's a great spell to get out of a situation or if you are trying to go in for the killing blow.

As a jungler, you always want to take Smite. Smite will help you clear through the jungle quicker and secure major objectives.

Early Game

This is what the jungle path would look like:

Late Game

Pantheon really struggles when it gets too late game because he doesn't do the most damage and can be really easy to play against. The best thing you can do at this point is group up with your team using Grand Skyfall at distance to surprise the enemy. When in a team fight your main goal is to get on top of the enemy backline! Use your Shield Vault to lock down one of the enemy's carries so your team can follow up and help kill them.

Overall Pantheon is a super fun champion to play that can join a team fight from miles away. If you want to play a champion that has insane early game damage that you can get an advantage from and then use your semi-global ultimate to help the team then Pantheon is the go-to champion for you.
