Akshan is a mobile marksman who can be played in the Mid Lane. Akshan is known for swinging in and out of fights and quickly punishing enemies who misposition. If he gets ahead early, he can snowball the map with his quick rotations and aggression. Akshan has a unique revive mechanic from Going Rogue. Whenever an enemy kills an ally champion, the enemy becomes marked. If Akshan kills that enemy, the dead allies are immediately resurrected. This can be a game-changer in teamfights.

Every 3 hits deal bonus damage and grant a shield against champions. His attacks fire twice, but he can cancel the second shot to gain movement speed.
There is a bar underneath Akshan's mana bar that shows when his passive is available.
The key to Dirty Fighting is managing your double shot and passive stacks. You don't always want to fire both shots. Cancelling the second shot gives you movement speed, which is better for chasing enemies, kiting or repositioning. Use double shots when you are safe and want maximum damage.
Akshan throws a boomerang that deals physical damage, extending the range each time it hits an enemy. Hits grant Akshan Movement Speed.
Avengerang is Akshan's main poke tool. Try to line up minions and champions so it extends farther and hits multiple targets, letting you poke safely while maximising damage. It also applies 2 stacks of Dirty Fighting, meaning you only need to auto-attack 1 more time to proc your passive.
Passive: Enemy champions that kill allies become Scoundrels for 40 seconds. If Akshan helps kill them within 3 seconds of being damaged by him, he gains gold and revives allies.
Active: Akshan becomes camouflaged, gaining movement speed and mana regen toward Scoundrels. The duration is infinite while Akshan is near terrain or in bushes.
Use the camouflage to roam and scout safely, especially through the river and in the jungle. Focus on tracking Scoundrels since they're your priority targets, and taking them down can instantly swing fights. In fights, don't reveal yourself too early; wait for the right moment and surprise enemies.
Akshan fires a hook to attach and swing around terrain, attacking the nearest enemy (prioritising champions). If Akshan collides with an enemy or terrain, he will jump off. You can also recast Heroic Swing to jump off at any time. Takedowns reset the cooldown.
Heroic Swing is Akshan's main mobility. Use the terrain wisely; longer swings mean more shots and damage, so look to hook around bigger walls. Remember, you can recast early to reposition or dodge abilities, not just to deal damage. In teamfights, look for resets to swing multiple times and clean up fights.
Akshan locks onto an enemy champion, charging 5 shots over 3 seconds. After a few seconds or on recast, he fires shots, dealing physical damage per shot to the first enemy hit, including minions or structures.
Comeuppance works best as a finisher, so wait until enemies are low on health to maximise the execute damage. Be sure to use your ultimate from a safe distance. You don't need to be close, so stay behind walls, turrets or teammates while channelling. Because Compeuppance can hit minions and structures, you need to ensure you position yourself correctly to hit the right target. You can move whilst using Comeuppance and even use Heroic Swing to reposition to guarantee you deal damage to the right target.

The Collector boosts Akshan's burst potential by adding armour pen and crit scaling, and its execute passive helps him finish off low-health enemies.
Magnetic Blaster strengthens Akshan's poke and trading. It gives him attack speed and on-hit value, letting him output more damage when he swings through fights.
Infinity Edge amplifies a large portion of Akshan's damage. His passive, boomerang, swing, and Ultimate shots can all crit. Once you have enough crit chance, you'll be able to delete squishy targets.
Onto the runes, we have:
Empowerment increases Akshan's burst damage. You will frequently use Dirty Fighting's double shot and Heroic Swing, which can reliably trigger Empowerment's damage.
Brutal increases Akshan's auto-attack damage, which can help with his early-lane kill pressure. Brutal also works with Heroic Swing, allowing him to deal more damage when swinging around in fights.
Cut Down helps Akshan deal more damage to tankier targets, which he normally struggles to burst.
Coup de Grace synergises well with his abilities and playstyle helping you finish off low health enemies.
Legend: Alacrity lets Akshan proc his passive Dirty Fighting faster, which will help him win more trades and increase his damage during Heroic Swing.
Sudden Impact boosts Akshan's burst damage. He uses both Heroic Swing and Going Rogue to roam, and every time he dashes, swings or becomes camouflaged, Sudden Impact will give him true damage.
Bone Plating reduces combo damage from enemies, helping him survive burst trades and making aggressive plays feel safer.

In the early game with Akshan, you want to focus on safe farming and short trades/poke. Use Avengerang to deal damage to both minions and the enemy while following up with an auto attack to proc his passive and look to disengage. Try to position close enough to walls so you can use Heroic Swing. Be careful when using it aggressively, as you can put yourself in an awkward spot. Once you reach Level 5, you can begin roaming using stealth to impact other lanes and try to find low-health enemies to execute them with your ultimate.

In the late game, Akshan becomes much more impactful as long as you avoid engaging first. Stay on the edge of fights and use Going Rogue to stealth around to reposition, then look to dive in with Heroic Swing to finish low-health targets with your burst and ultimate. This is especially helpful when assassinating those who killed your teammates to revive your dead allies.

Overall, Akshan rewards patience and smart positioning. Focus on roaming to find picks and snowball early leads. Well-timed kills can swing fights by reviving dead teammates.
