Fiora is a top-lane fighter. She is not the best early game champion but once you reach the late game and have a few items under your belt she is the ultimate 1 vs 1 duelist. She has a very unique passive and abilities that can give you the upper edge over your opponent. Duelist's Dance (Passive) reveals vitals on the closest enemy champion. Once you hit this vital on the enemy champion you deal more damage and Fiora heals. So make sure when playing Fiora that you keep an eye on the enemy champion.
Fiora can also be played in the jungle, make sure to check the alternative build at the top of the page!
With Fiora jungle, the build and playstyle are the same. The only difference is that you will need to make sure you change to the Smite summoner spell and the runes are slightly different.
Fiora reveals Vitals on nearby enemy champions. These Vitals are like enemy weak points and they can be struck by her auto-attacks, Lunge (1st Ability) and Riposte (2nd Ability).
Striking a Vital deals a percentage of the target's max health as true damage, healing Fiora and granting her bonus movement speed decaying over a few seconds. New Vitals are revealed after striking one or after around 20 seconds.
Striking Vitals are a key part of Fiora's playstyle and something you always want to keep your eye on. Try to strike them as much as possible!
Fiora lunges and stabs a nearby enemy, dealing physical damage in an area. Hitting an enemy refunds 60% of the cooldown of Lunge so make sure you hit something with this ability or you could be punished as it can have quite a long cooldown if missed, putting you out of position.
Lunge prioritizes Vitals and enemies it will kill first, then champions, minions and monsters. Lunge also applies on-hit effects to the primary target hit.
Fiora parries all incoming damage and debuffs for just under a second, then stabs in the target direction, dealing magic damage to the first enemy champion, slowing their movement speed and attack speed by 50% for just over a second.
If Fiora parries an immobilizing effect, Riposte will stun instead of slow so it's really important to time this ability right so you can use the Riposte to stun targets in front of you.
Riposte is a great defensive and 1v1 ability for Fiora. She is strong thanks to it and it makes enemies think twice about trying to fight you. Without it, enemies can land abilities with ease so make sure you don't waste Riposte.
Fiora empowers the next 2 attacks with bonus attack speed. The first attack applies a slow for a second, but cannot critically strike. The second attack will always critically strike for more physical damage.
Bladework is also an auto-attack reset meaning that you can use this ability straight after an auto-attack so you can deal more damage in a shorter amount of time.
Upon activation, Fiora Reveals all 4 Vitals on an enemy champion for a few seconds and grants Duelist's Dance's (Passive) bonus movement speed while near them.
Striking all 4 vitals in a few seconds or if the target dies after at least one hit will summon a field area on the floor and if Fiora or an ally is on that field, they will be healed each second. The field will last longer depending on how many vitals you hit.
This Ultimate is the best way to deal a lot of true damage and helps Fiora win them 1v1 battles.
Fiora uses a mixture of both damage and tank items that work well with her kit. Trinity Force is the perfect item and a must-buy on Fiora. This item gives her some damage and tank stats. Trinity Force's passive effects also work really well with Fiora's abilities. Fiora works really well with the extra movement speed you get from rage to chase down the enemies. Sterak's Gage is a great example of a tank item that works well with Fiora. It gives her some health and when she is low on health she gets a shield to keep her alive longer.
For runes, we have the following:
With Fiora, you can hit the enemy champion really easy with Lunge (1st Ability). This allows you to easily stack Grasp of the Undying so you heal and get that extra bit of health.
This helps out Fiora in the early game where she can struggle. She gets that bit of extra damage when last hitting minions and trading vs the enemy champion.
With Fiora, you will be in a lot of fights and trading a lot in the laning phase. Bone plating helps you take reduced damage and win out trades against your opponents.
A great rune for if you get low in the laning phase and need that extra bit of healing and get some free money.
Fiora struggles in the early game. With Fiora it's best to play passive in the early game unless you have a great opportunity to go in if the enemy makes a mistake. In the laning phase, you want to keep your eyes on the vitals that get displayed on the enemy champion and use your Lunge (1st Ability) to dash in and proc the vital to get extra damage off and be able to heal yourself. Riposte (2nd Ability) is a great spell to get out of a situation. It blocks all incoming damage in the direction you cast it so if you time it correctly you can use this ability really effectively.
Once Fiora gets to the late game and you have your core items this is where she can become the ultimate duelist. At this stage of the game, the best thing you can do is split-push, this means going to one of the side lanes (top or bottom) and pushing the minions. Fiora's 1 vs 1 potential is really good because of her kit and she pushes towers really fast. When in a team fight your main goal is to get on top of the enemy backline making sure you keep an eye on your vitals (Passive) and dodge abilities where possible with Riposte (2nd Ability).
Overall Fiora has a very fun playstyle that a lot of people will enjoy. She is one of the champions that can carry the game off her own back. Sometimes you can even get crazy games where you can split push and destroy the enemies nexus and win the game by yourself!
