Yasuo is a mid-lane attack damage assassin. He is a melee champion and can struggle a lot in the early game when trying to walk up and last hit minions. Once you hit level 5 and get Last Breath, you can look to stack your Steel Tempest until you get your tornado. When your tornado is ready, you can look to knock up the enemy to try and get a solo kill or you can roam around the map with his aggressive play style. Yasuo works really well with a team that has knock-ups as you can use your Last Breath on any knock-up that your team does.
Divine Sunderer is one of the best items that gives Yasuo some much-needed stats. The Spellblade passive also works with Steel Tempest to help with your damage potential.
For runes, we have the following:
Grasp helps Yasuo with his survivability in lane, and it can scale to deal more damage and stack a lot of health.
Brutal gives Yasuo's auto attacks and Steel Tempest more damage giving him a lot of power in the early game to try and get an advantage to carry her team.
When enemy champions are low on health, Yasuo can deal bonus damage. This will help Yasuo kill enemies faster.
Alacrity gives Yasuo attack speed. Yasuo benefits a lot from attack speed. Not only does it allow him to attack faster, but it also reduces the cooldown of Steel Tempest.
Since Yasuo will be dashing in a lot trying to deal damage, he will be a main target for the enemy. Bone plating will help Yasuo take reduced damage from the first three instances of damage which will help him survive longer.
Yasuo struggles a bit in the early game as a melee champion. Most of the time you want to stay back and wait for the enemy champion to push the minion wave under your tower. You can walk up to minions early on when you have your Way of the Wanderer shield up and available so you don't take damage to your health. Once you hit Level 5, this is where you can potentially look for the all-in and try and kill the enemy mid-lane. If you can't find the opportunity in the mid lane, you can try to roam around the map and use your Ultimate in the side lanes.
When you reach the mid and late game and get a few items, this is where Yasuo can start to become useful since you have quite a lot of mobility and crowd control. When you are grouped with your team and about to have a team fight, the best thing you want to do is get to their backline where you can kill the enemy carries. Always keep an eye on your teammates, especially ones that have a knock-up as you can follow it up with your Ultimate. You can also use your Wind Wall to block damage and abilities to help you and your team.
Overall Yasuo is a very fun and mobile champion to play with the ability to out-play the enemy team and win the fight with some insane combos and knock-ups. At times it might be difficult to play Yasuo as he has a high skill gap but once you practice him a few times you can carry.
